Behind the Lens

Md Al Araf Hussain is an İstanbul-based physician and photographer whose work explores cities, landscapes, human presence and quiet moments in motion.

His photography is shaped by observation rather than spectacle. Moving between medicine, travel and everyday life, he is drawn to moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed: a street at night, a face between crowds, fog seen through glass, architecture holding the memory of a place, or light changing an ordinary scene.

Through Lens: ArafHussain, he presents photography as visual storytelling—a way of preserving atmosphere, silence, distance and human connection.
